Congratulations to Dr. Roumen Milev
Cathy Szabo, President & Chief Executive Officer of Providence Care is please to announce that Dr. Roumen Milev has accepted the position of Vice-President, Medical & Academic Affairs, effective October 1, 2018. The Vice-President role will focus on the academic mission, regional leadership and partnership development of Providence Care Hospital. In this role, Dr. Milev will represent Providence Care on committees that relate to the Southeastern Ontario Academic Medical Organization (SEAMO), Queen’s University and the South East LHIN. Dr. Milev will also be a member of the Senior Leadership Team, a non-voting member of the Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) and work very closely with the Chair of the MAC. Dr. Milev has been an attending physician with Providence Care since 2001. He is currently part of the clinical team providing outpatient mood disorder services. From 2007 to 2017, Dr. Milev held the role of Head of the Department of Psychiatry at Providence Care and Queen’s University. He is currently the Director of the Centre for Neurosciences (CNS) at Queen’s University. With his new appointment as Vice President, Medical & Academic Affairs, Dr. Milev will continue to provide outpatient services and hold the role of Director, CNS.
