Our Research Themes

The CNS underwent an extensive review of our research and from this analysis four research themes were identified: Decision Making and Adaptive Control, Mood Disorders, Neurodegeneration and Pain.

Research in the Centre for Neuroscience Studies has grown to more than 90 faculty members who supervise bright, driven graduate students at both the MSc and PhD level.  These researchers have outstanding index factors and publication records as well as holding countless national and international grants and awards.  Several of our researchers hold Canada Research Chairs.  The uniqueness of the multidisciplinary approach to research is evident in the success of its researchers as they continue to explore mechanisms to enhance society's overall neurological health.
